The Tablet PC Platform SDK application development can be done on a standard Windows XP desktop. The SDK provides the Tablet PC pen and ink runtime DLLs and APIs. In addition, the SDK offers documentation and samples to assist you in integrating pen and ink components into existing and/or new Windows applications. All entries must utilize the Windows XP Tablet PC Platform SDK. You can use the Tablet SDK on Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1, or Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2. To download the latest Tablet PC Platform SDK please go here.
To be eligible, your entry must include the following:
•All entries must be in English.
•Any publicly released Tablet PC SDK may be used.
•Standalone PowerToy executable (.exe) file, no larger than 100MB in size. If there are multiple runtime components it is acceptable to submit a compressed archive (.zip) file here which includes the runtime components and clear instructions on how to configure them.
•Submit your source code for the PowerToy, including a “Readme” file containing all of the requirements to build and compile the PowerToy including the compiler or development environment version. You may also include a compilation batch file. These items must be submitted as a single compressed archive (.zip) file.
•Requirements or dependencies to run the PowerToy (SDK’s needed, .NET Framework version, etc.).
•Please provide a two to four sentence description of how the PowerToy can be used.
Make sure your entry works properly before you submit it for consideration. If the application does not run the first time, one more attempt will be made after which the entry will be disqualified. No attempt will be made to debug the application. See the Official Rules for details.
